about the webwizard
“The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of starstuff.”
— Carl Sagan
Heya! The name's darkosparko, though I prefer if people call me darko if they shorten my username! I'm the webwizard of this little site you've found yourself in! I'm a 16 year old gay Filipino neurodivergent student with a love for anything creative. My biggest hobbies are OC worldbuilding, programming (duh), fanfiction/writing in general, and playing a whole bunch of video games!
In terms of personality, I find that I'm not the best person to consult on that considering I find myself incredibly annoying, but I'd say that I'm pretty quiet and introverted when I'm new to someone, but if you show even 1% of any emotion like interest in my interests or wanting to talk to me, I'll spout out absolutely anything about the things I love and want to share with you.

I've always loved the internet, even as a kid. I used to play old Flash games and constantly be amazed by all the moving graphics and the bright and energetic content people put without shame or restriction online. The internet, to me, is a microcosm of everything about humanity, all the good, and all the bad, and in that sense, the internet has always felt like a world where you can share anything, be anything, and love anything. But we're far, far away from the days of the old World Wide Web. Content is now constantly placed under algorithms and hidden behind adverts, human art is now being overshadowed by the rapid and disastrous misuse of AI in art, and it almost seems like the world has forgotten the wonders of HTML and CSS, all for corporate and minimalistic web design (note, this is not a dig on accessible web design, I'm all for that!!!). It almost seems like we've forgotten that the internet can be so many things other than the almost dystopian state than it is today. It can be like it was before, when we were still experimenting with it. It can be colorful, educational, a place for people of all ages, and most of all, just fun. Fun to experience, fun to look at.
Capturing that sense of wonder is the essence of why I made the Spark-Web. I wanted to make a space for myself, one separated from all the social media we use today, one that I can customize specifically to my liking, one that can show others that, yes, the internet can still be the way it was in the '90s and '00s, and most of all, one that can show others that they themselves can be a part of the internet in this way if they just try.

CHARACTERS I VIBE WITH
about the mascot(s)
[NAME] SPARKO
[RACE] Sparkonoid
[AGE] Unknown, considered a young adult for his species
[BIRTHDAY] September 5, ████
[PROFESSION] CEO, Astronaut, educator, party-thrower, etc.
[TALENTS/ABILITIES] Reality construct creation, dream reconstruction, teleportation to places he's been to
[BIO]
SPARKO is an alien astronaut from a distant, faraway planet, who's traveled into the interwebs to spread the art, philosophy, ideals, etc. of his homeworld! He was sent as part of a diplomatic mission from his plane to connect with Earth after it received radio signals from Earth for the first time, and now he's here to immerse himself in Earthian culture and experience all there is to experience in the world! His journey here may have been a little bumpy, and there may have been an unexpected visitor (cough cough, the other 'mascot'), but everything was fine in the end!
To learn more about Earth and its people, as well as set up a outpost for his home planet on Earth, he alongside darko created the Spark-Web company, with the sole purpose of using their unique abilities to make people's dreams come true. He mainly acts as the spokesperson of the company, making grand speeches and visiting every place in the Earth!
